  Founder's Journey

My name is Sean Catlin, the founder of SurfSpray. I was born on April 26, 2002, in Redondo Beach, CA. Surfing is not just a sport for me; it is a lifestyle, a crucial part of my life that I could not live without. Diagnosed at a young age with psoriasis, eczema, and body acne, I was faced with a tough decision as wearing wetsuits exacerbated my conditions, making them unbearable. The choice was stark: let my skin deteriorate further and spread across my body or quit surfing for good.

Unwilling to accept either outcome, I began researching ways to combat the damaging effects of dry, dirty, and abrasive wetsuits. The solution had to be effective yet gentle enough not to aggravate my skin conditions. After a year of dedicated research and countless trials, I developed SurfSpray, a blend of six all-natural ingredients designed to kill bacteria, eliminate odor, protect the skin, and condition the wetsuit.

This innovation has allowed me to continue my passion and I hope to help countless others maintain their passion for water sports, without compromising their skin’s health and well-being.
